[Ecology]     It grows mostly in rocky mountainopen forestthe foot of rocky mountain and dankness area of jungle,sometimes in field side and fertile area.  
[Chemical composition]

This plant contains norleucine, 24(S/β)-dihydrocycloeucalenol-(E)-p-hydroxycinnamate, rhamnocitrin, rhamnazin, daucosterol)[1]; essential oils: 6,10,14-trimethyl-2-pentadecanone, benzenesulfonamide-4-methyl-N-(2-keto-2-phenethyl), phytol, hexadecoicacid, α-cadinol, caryophylleneoxide, 2-trideca ketone, β-ionone, 4- methyl-syn-3-thioannulation[4,4,0]decane[2].

 
[Pharmacological activities]

Ford Nervilia has antitussive, antiashmatic, antitumor and immune-enhancing and antibacterial and antiviral actions. Its clinically applicated in treatment of asthma,chronic bronchitis,panting type chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, radioactive pneumonia, acute vestibular big gland inflammation, acute pharyngitis, acute attack of chronic pharyngitis and it has a remarkable curative effect.
