[Pharmacological activities] |
1 Antibacterial and antiprotozoal activity: The antibacterial mechanism and its role are related to bacterial enzyme systems; sulfide contained in the Fistular Onion Stalk is one of the active antimicrobial ingredient. Fistular Onion Stalk grinding filtrate (1:4) has killing effect on Trichomonas vaginalis [1,2]. 2 Insecticide activity: Fistular Onion Stalk grinding filtrate (1:4) can get rid of the pinworm, and have better effect on young children [1]. 3 Sedative and analgesic activity: Feeding mice with Fistular Onion Stalk decoction (20g/kg), can reduce independent activities and increase the pain threshold, suggesting the sedative and analgesic effects [3]. |

[Clinical trial] | 1.Coryza: Fistular Onion Stalk 50g, ginger 50g, salt 5g, puddled into mud and packaged with gauze, applied five parts(prothorax, back, arch, palm, nest, chelidon).All 107 cases cured in 1 ~ 2 days. Most cases use it 1 time, a few 2 times. 2. ascaris-induced acute abdomen pain: Fresh fistular onion stalk 50g puddled for juice, mixed with sesame oil 50g, swallowed all mixture on an empty stomach(dosage for children to be reduced accordingly), 2 times a day, most cases relieved the pain and did not drive out the ascarids after1 ~ 7 times treatment. Or Fresh fistular onion stalk(with root fibril) 100g-150g puddled for juice, and swallowed it, 10 min later, swallowed colza oil or sesame oil 50g. About half an hour, pain relieved, after 4~6 h, discharge mucous feces, sometimes have ascarid. 3. Enterobiasis disease: fistular onion stalk 50g with water 100 ml, garlic 50g with water 200ml, cooked into respectively, filtered with gauze, stored in the Bottle. Clystered with the solution before sleep. Dosage: 10 ml for 4 ~ 5 years old, 15 ml for 7 years old. Results: fistular onion stalk solution for 116 cases, 86 cases cured, the total cure rate was 74.1%; Garlic solution for 38 cases, 29 cases cured, the total cure rate was 76.3%. 4. Mastitis: Fistular onion stalk, pinellia suppositories (slip into the nose opposited the side of sickness breast for 20min, 1~2 times a day) combined with ginger tank [ginger (or dried ginger) concentrated solution, and puted into small glass bottle, pumped air, used the negative pressure for cupping therapy in inflammatory mass and its surrounding area. Result: In the 130 cases with early acute mastitis, the total cure rate was 96.9%. 5. Children dyspepsia: Bulbus Allii Fistulosi 1, ginger 25g, puddled into mud, add fennel powder 15g, mixed and fried hot (skin can stand for the temperature), wrapped with gauze, applied the umbilical region. 1 ~ 2 times a day and until cure. |
