1. Total cardiac glycosides obtained from Calotropis Gigantea L. exhibit cardiotonic action on isolated hearts of fogs, cats, guinea pig and rabbits[1].

 
[Clinical trial]

Snakebite ulcer: snakebite ulcer wound after routine disinfection, washed with niujiaogua(Calotropis) decoction for external use. 32 cases were treated with the therapy. Results showed that 30 cases were cured, 2 cases were invalid, the curative ratio was 93.7% [1].
