The fruits contains alkaloid: N-nornuciferine, asmilobine, stepholidine; triterpene acids: oleanoic acid, betulonic acid, maslinic acid (cratagolicacid, 3-O-trans-p-coumaroyl-maslinic acid, 3-O-cis-p-coumaroyl-maslinic acid, alphitolic acid, betulinic acid, 3-O-trans-p-coumaroyl alphi-tolic acid, 3-O-cis-p-coumaroylal-phitolic acid; saponin: zizyphus saponinⅠ, zizyphus saponin Ⅱ, zizyphus saponin Ⅲ, jujuboside B; cyclic adenosine 3′,5′-monophasphate(cAMP), cyclic guanosine 3′,5′-monophosphate(cGMP); fructose, glucose, sucrose; fatty acid: oleic acid; sterol: sitosterol, stigmasterol, desmosterol; rutin(3385mg/100g), vitaminC(540-972mg/100g), ri-boflavine, carotene, thiamine, nicotinic acid; tannin, coumarin deriva-tives, resins, lipids, malic acid.

The seed contains Jujuboside A, Jujuboside B, Jujuboside B1, indole acetic acid.

1. Anti-allergic: continuous intraperitoneal injection with jujube ethanol extract by 100mg/kg for 5 days, have a specific inhibition for the reaction of primality rat immunoglobulin antibody, which is similar to azathioprine, while no suppression for the non-reactive antibody. Its active ingredient is ethyl-alpha-D-fructofuranosidase, and its derivatives have a antagonistic effect,as well as Anti-allergic [1].,on 5-hydroxytryptamine and histamine. The cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in jujube go through the white membrane, increase intracellular cAMP inhibit the release of leukotriene D4, and thus inhibit the allergic reaction [2].

2. Anti-tumor: rat are feeded with jujube and dried fruit daily about 1g continuously for 10 months, which can significantly reduce the incidence of N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitroso-induced glandular stomach adenocarcinoma, as well as stomach the total incidence of intestinal malignancy[3]. Mice given with jujube decoction can significantly reduce the cyclophosphamide induced sister chromatid exchange value increased, and have anti-mutagenic effect [4].

3. Central inhibition: jujube enhance the effect of hypnosis and sleep. The jujube naringenin-C-glycosides can reduce locomotor activity and reflection to stimulate, and cause catalepsy [5].

4. Nourish the liver: continuous administration for 7 days with 30% jujube decoction by 9g/kg allows to enhance carbon tetrachloride liver damage rabbit model of serum total protein and albumin, and improve appetite[6].

5. Enhanced the effect of inotropic: Mice, given with 30% jujube decoction by 9g/kg for 3 weeks, enable the body weight of mice increased significantly, prolonged the swimming time [6] significantly.

1dysmenorrhea:HeiTang 250g, NuoMi500g, DaZao 500g, DaZao was cooked withappropriate water to dry, and was peeled nuclear.
