The seeds contains sitosterol, cedrol and diterpenoids: pinusolide, [15,16-bisnor-13-oxo-8(17)-labden-19-oic acid], [15,16-bisnor-13-oxo-8(17)，11E-labdadien-19-oic acid], [14,15,16-trisnor-8(17)-labdene-13,19-dioic acid], 12R,13-dihydroxycommunic acid. It also contains fatty oil, few essential oils, saponins^[1].

1.Habitualconstipation：BaiZiRen30g.HuoMaRen,HuMaRen,DongGuaRen,CaoJueMingevery20g.RongCongRong,HouPu,ZhiShi every10g.MuXiang6g.Partial thermal sluggishaddsYeJvHua, HuaiHua every 10 g, partial Qi adds BaiZhu, HuangQi every 20 g. 1 doseper day, frying with water two times, To concentrate 200 mL per dose, Twicetaking. Six days for l treatment course, taking  4 treatment course, observation 8 weeks afterstopping taking, and then judge curative effect. Clinical 25 cases were cured, 15cases were markedly improved, 15 cases were effective, 5 cases is invalid. Thetotal effective rate was 90%.
