Anti-oxidant activity: Saururus Chinensis obviouslyhas the function of antioxidation. And the total flavones from SaururusChinensis had a strong capacity of scavenging superoxide anion and hydroxylfree radical. The optimum extraction condition of total flavones from SaururusChinensis has been investigated, and the total flavones from Saururus Chinensishas a strong capacity of scavenging superoxide anion and hydroxyl free radical[1].

Antibacterial performance:Saururus chinensis exhibited certain inhibition of Staphycoloccus aureus,Eschrichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in vitro [2].

Hypoglycemicfunction: Saururus Chinensis Baill polysaccharide can lower the blood sugarlevel, enhance the activity of superoxide dismutase and decrease the MDA inalloxan diabetes rabbit models, which prove that Saururus Chinensis Baill hastherapeutic effect on alloxan diabetes [3].

Hepatoprotective effect:Saururus chinensis have protective effects on acute liver injury induced bycarbon tetrachloride in mice [4].

Anti-inflammatory effect:Saucemetilignan-8 (Sc-8), which was isolated from Saururus chinesis, has significantanti-inflammatory effect [5].

Analgesia:Saururus chinensis could also significantly reduce the stretching times andimprove pain threshold of mouse [2].

Anti-trichomonal:Saururus chinensis had the anti-trichomonaleffects [2].

Antipruritic:Saururus chinensis had the Antipruriticeffects [2].

[Clinical trial]
