[Ecology]     Linearstripe Rabdosia Herb has strong adaptability to enviroment,grows everywhere at the altitude below 1500 metres,commly grows in wetland beside streamvallege sideditch sidefield side and forest.It is long-day plant,prefers light,seeds sprout well and plants grows healthly and strongly under plenty of sunshine;it is afraid of waterlogging and harden soil,is suitable for being planted in loosefertile and well-drained sandy soil, roots rot easily in low water soil.

[Clinical trial]

1. Hepatitis B: 68 cases of patients were treated with herbs of Baihuasheshecao(30g), Huzhang(30g), Danshen(20g), Xihuangcao(15g), Wuweizi(10g), Caihu(10g), Nvzhenzi(12g), Hanliancao(12g), Hongzhao(12g), Sanling(12g), Erzhu(12g) and Gancao(6g), 33 cases were cure, two cases’ condition had improved, 11 cases were invalid, the overall effective rate was 83.8%[1].

2. Acute icteric hepatitis: 200g Xihuangcao were mash up, 400ml rice water were added into it then filter by gauze. 90g sugar and 100ml sweet wine were added into the filtrate. 30 cases of patients were treated with the medicine, 165 cases were cure during first course of treatment, 126 cases were cure during the second course of treatment; nine cases had significant effect, the overall cure rate was 97%[2].

3. Japanese encephalitis: 14 cases of patients were treated with taken the fresh Xihuangcao and honey, combined with the Intramuscular injection of 25% Jiulixiang injection and taken the herbs of Shengshigao, Banlangen, Zhimu, Danzhuye, Yinhua, Lianqiao, Qiyeyizhihua and Xuanmingfen, and also assistant with tonic medicine, corticosteroids and dehydration drugs. Results showed that 13 cases were cure, and only the severe patient was dead[3].
