1 Cholagogueeffect: Yinchenhao 6,7-dimethoxy coumarin hydroxyacetophenone and chlorineacid, beta-pinene, capillaris ketones, folic acid etc. had choleretic effect [1,3].YinChendecoction, hot water extract, the infusion of volatile oil and water, etc. canalso promote the secretion of bile and excretion effects [2]. 2 Protectionliver: YCHT has hepatoprotective effect withdose-effect relationship and its mechanism may relate to reducing thehepatocyte content of β-G, promoting the excretion of bilirubin and improvingthe metabolism of bilirubin. The extracts of Swertia musstii Franch(10μg/ml, 1μg/ml,10-1μg/ml, 10-2μg/ml) could reduce the levels of AST, ALT, LDH and MDA incultural supernatant which reduced by CC14. It also could boost thehepatocytes viability which reduced by CC14. The results suggestthat polysaccharides from Swertia musstii Franch have direct protectiveactivity on hepatocytes injured in vitro [4,5]. · 3 Immunologic function: The Yinchenhao can promote leukocyte split, increase the number of white blood, increase the activity of T cell immunity, and participate in the role of immune regulation and induce interferon, andthus improve immune function [6] 4 Heart-blood vesselsystem: Artemisia capillaris thumb showed in different degree effect on theregression of coronary arteries atherosclerosis and aortic atherosclerosis(p<0.01) and on the expression of oncogenes (p<0.01). These medicinesshowed an excellence in antiatherosclerosis 6,7-dimethoxy-coumarin[7]. 5 Antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory: Artemisia coumarin had analgesic effect [6].6,7-dimethoxycoumarin had anti-inflammatory effects on rat paw swelling, significant cooling effect on body temperature of normal mice and have asignificant cooling effect [8]. 6 Anti-tumor:the capillaris inhibitory effect on lung cancer cells in vitro [9]. Yinchenhaocoumarins, terpenoids, flavonoids, coumaric acid, chlorogenic acid and otheringredients may have anticancer activity [10]. Yinchenhao decoction inhibit mousebone turn cell micronuclei, chromosome aberrations and sister chromatidexchange [11]. 7 Anti-pathogenicmicroorganism: Capillaris had a strong anti-pathogenic microorganism effects. Yinchenhaodecoction had various degrees inhibition effects on the different bacterium. Itcan completely inhibit man-TB. Capillaris decoction can also inhibit and killBowmore Leptospira, pig and human roundworm has a narcotic effect [8]. All the12 diuretic traditional Chinesemedicines inhibited urogenital CT [12]. 8 The others: Yinchenhaohad immunologicfunctionand dieresis effects [13,2]. |

[Clinical trial] | 1. Moderately severe acne:34 cases of patients were treated with oral administration of Fufang Yinchen decoction, twice a day, 4 weeks as one course of treatment. During the treatment, no other drugs were taken. Results: 20 cases were cured(49.02%), seven cases had significant effect(12.01%), four cases had effect(3.36%) and three cases were invalid, the effective rate was 91.18% [1]. 2. diabetes type Ⅱ:40 cases of patients were treated with Jiaweiyinchen decoction and oral hypoglycemic drugs as the treatment group. Anther 40 cases of patients were treated with only the oral hypoglycemic drugs as the control group. Results: ①Compared the blood sugar before and after treatments, patients’ FBG had improved in both groups, but significant difference was obtained(P<0.05) when compared each other. The results of treatment group were better than the control group, which indicated that the better effect of reduce FBG can be obtain when Jiaweiyinchen decoction and oral hypoglycemic drugs were used together. ②Patients’TG had reduced significantly in both group, but no significant difference was found when compared each other (P>0.05) [2]. 3. Cholelithiasis: 42 cases of patients were treated with herbs of Yinchen( 4. Acute icteric hepatitis: Patients were treated with herbs of Yinchen, Zhizi, Huangqin, etc. medication time were about 13~66 days, and no side effect were found during the medication time. Results showed that 196 cases had significant effect, 32 cases' condition had improved, four cases were invalid, the overall effective rate was 98.3%[4]. 5. Vaginitis: Patients were treated with Yinchenhao decoction, one prescription were boiled each day and taken three times a day, ten prescription as one course of treatment. During the treatment, the traditional Chinese medical lotion were apply on the affect area, no other drugs were taken, and sexuality was forbidden. Results: 36 cases were cure(22.50%), 60 cases had significant effect(37.50%), 54 cases had effect(33.75%), ten cases were invalid(6.25%), the overall effective rate was 93.75%. Yinchen also have good effect for diseases such as spontaneous abortion of maternal-fetal blood group incompatibility[6], eczema[7], cholestatic hepatitis[8], biliary ascariasis[9], etc. |
