1. The extracts isolated from Sapium sebiferum leaves with different solvents exhibit antibacterial activity, and the strongest antibacterial activity came from ethyl acetate soluble fraction[2]. 2. The extracts of Sapium sebiferum leave has significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect on animal models and shows obviously dose-effect relationship[3]. 3. The extracts of Sapium sebiferum leave also exhibit other pharmacological effects such as reducing blood pressure, causing inflammation, promoting the proliferation of tumor and so on[1,4]. |

[Clinical trial] | 1. Postpartum perineal wound infection: 430 cases were treated with wujiu(Sebiferm Sapium Bark) Decoction from fresh leaves and stalks repeated washing, daily 3 times, for 7 to 21 days, until the wound granulation and wound healing.Results showed that 400 cases were cured, the cure rate was 93.02%[1] . 2. Snake bite: 66 cases whose wound did not collapse were treated with wujiu(Sebiferm Sapium Bark) cream (fresh wujiu(Sebiferm Sapium Bark) leaves ,added appropriate amount of liquor, a little flour ) before detoxification..Results showed all patients were healed, the average healing time was 5 days [2]. 3. Acute glomerular nephritis: 32 cases were treated with wujiushenkangbao doctotion (wujiu(Sebiferm Sapium Bark), daodiaobi root(Fall hanging pen root), yangtiteng(Bauhinia glauca),baihuaguizhenquan root(White ghost light group root),yingbupu root(spiny aralia)), 3 times a day. Results showed that besides 1 cases of nephrotic syndrome treated with were invalid, the remaining of 31 cases were cured, the cure rate was 96.9% [3] . |
