1 Immunologic function:The three dosage of finger citron polysaccharide (400、200、100mg/kg) were given orally within seven days continuously. it could obviouslyraise the phagopercentage and phagoindex of abdominal cavity macrophage in miceof low level for immunologic function caused by CY, promote the formation ofhemolysin, hemolytic plague and lymphocyte transformation, obviously increasethe ratio of T lymphocyte in peripheral blood [1]. Fructus Citri Sarcodactylispolysaccharide (FCSP) can significantly increase IL6 outside themacrophage, but cannot affect IL6 inside the macrophage [2]. It isindicated that FCSP can increase the secretion of IL6 in macrophagesand may promote both humoral immunity and cellular immunity. CMPS may play animportant role in humoral immunoresponse, cellulae mediated immunoresponse andanticancer [3,4]. 2 Antitussive,Expectorantand Antiasthmatic:Fingered citronhas the effect of increasing the frequency of cough and latent period of coughcaused by ammoniacal smoke in mice and the excretion of phenol red in theairway of mice ,but it has no effect of prolonging the latent period of fallingdown caused by histamine and acetylcholine in guinea pigs [5]. Fingered citronhas remarkably pharmacological effects on antitussive, expectorant and Antiasthmaticandcan remarkably prolong the latent period of falling down caused by histamineand acetylcholine in guinea pigs [6]. 3 Gastrointestinalfunctions: Alcohol extract of finger Citron can significantly enhanceconstriction of isolated ileum duodenum of rabbits, the effects can beantagonized by atropine. It can significantly inhibit constriction of isolatedduodenum of rabbits, showed significant anti-convulsive effects on spasm ofisolated duodenum of rabbits induced by acetylcholine. It showed significantpushing effects on motion of small intestine of mice [7]. Alcohol extracts of FingerCitron showed different effects on different parts of isolated small intestineof rabbits. It can promote pushing of small intestine of mice. Alcohol extractof Finger Citron had spasmolysis function [8]. 4 Enhancing memory:Mice were kept on the ethanolic extract of finger Citron, 3g/kg body weight or6g/kg body weight for 15 days. The behavior of the opening field and thelearning memory were observed. The contents of DA, NA and 5-HT in brain weremeasured. Compared with the control group: the ethanolic extract of fingerCitron could obviously decrease spontaneity activity of mice in newenvironment, obviously improve the learning abilities, markedly increase thecontents of DA, NA and 5-HT in brain. The conclusion is that the ethanolicextract of finger Citron can improve the learning memory of mice [9]. 5 The others: Antitussive,Expectorant,Antiasthmatic,Anti-microbialand Gallstones effects [10].The skin on the back of mice was shaved topically and smeared with bergamotextract for 42 days. The extract from bergamot and boxthorn obviously increasedthe activity of superoxide dismutase and the content of collagen, and decreasedthe content of malondialdehyde in the skin of mice. It also significantlypromoted the growth of hair. The extract from bergamot plays an active role inskin and the promotion of hair growth [11]. |
